Steve Hoy

Steve Hoy first came to our notice in 1985 with the release of the Joe Camilleri produced Anticipation. The album contained rootsy versions of nine Hoy originals backed by Ross Hannaford, Wayne Duncan and Gary Young; Daddy Cool in all but name.

Steve has released a string of critically acclaimed and highly respected albums; Possession, Life Next Door and Self Defence.

The single 'Where I Come From', written about Steve's hometown of Newcastle, picked up national airplay and led to him being signed by Rondor Music and Jerry Moss (of A&M fame).

Steve has played live extensively, both headlining and supporting numerous artists like The Black Sorrows, Tori Amos and Warren Zevon. He continues to play live and is likely to pop up at a venue near you!

Laneway Music is proud to have released Steve Hoy's previously (physically) released 4 albums digitally, along with 2 previously unreleased albums on iTunes and Spotify.....and there's more to come soon.
