Laneway Music was founded in September 2015 to ensure that artists were able to have their music available on all legitimate digital platforms worldwide for fans to enjoy, and that they would be paid for their work, on time, every time.

Truth be told, Laneway was born from a somewhat selfish perspective - we were unable to access some of our favourite artists on digital platforms, and decided to do something about it.

Since the Laneway launch, we have created a specialist electronic label - Ekko Music - where our artists in that genre live. Ekko understands that the electronic world requires a slightly different approach to the rock world, and is designed with that in mind.

Our philosophy is simple.

  • Music should be accessible for fans to access and enjoy on the various and evolving digital platforms.

  • Music should be preserved and not 'lost'.

  • Artists should be compensated for their music in a transparent, respectful and fair way.

At Laneway & Ekko - we're about the artists and the music.
