Hot City Bump Band

The Hot City Bump Band was formed from the vocal partnership of US artist Chuck McKinney and his wife Maggie.

Chuck originally came to Australia to work in the original Australian production of the stage musical Hair, and when the production ended in 1973, the McKinneys formed the Hot City Bump Band with four local musicians, including drummer Mick Holden (ex-The Mixtures & Billy T).

In 1975 the band released it's debut album, Come Together, which saw them appear on Countdown performing the Melbourne hit 'Do What You Wanna Do'.

This album is now available digitally for the first time ever through Laneway Music.
