Originating in Newcastle under the name 'Delta', the band moved to Sydney, before relocating to the Melbourne circuit as 'Daniel'.
Showcasing a stunning blend of R'n'B with country overtones and featuring three part harmonies, the band came to the attention of Mike Rudd (Spectrum and Ariel) who produced the bands only studio album.
During their three year career, they released three singles and their debut album. The band had a minor hit single which was also captured live on a second Nightmoves Concert release, and "Two Wrongs" appeared later on the Nightmoves DVD release.
The band were known for their Steely Dan sound, and the musicians were of an exceptional calibre. Laneway Music has released Daniel's classic 'Last Night in the CIty' on iTunes (here) along with a live album, and a rarities album. One listen and you will see that his band should have had more success than they did.
