Big Heavy Stuff were a killer four-piece guitar band from Sydney who, without doubt, should have been superstars.

 

Big Heavy Stuff formed in 1990 and instantly had a major impact on the Australian music scene. The band deftly mixed a powerful rhythm section with stunning melodies and beautifully crafted lyrics.

 

Perhaps their most successful track was 'Hibernate' which made the famous triple j hottest 100 countdown, and in 2001 were nominated for an ARIA award in the Best Adult Alternative Album category.

 

Big Heavy Stuff were brilliant in the studio, and powerful live. Laneway Music is excited to have made their catalogue available digitally for the first time through iTunes, and select titles through Spotify.
