Shock Poets were formed in 1994 as a side project by Mark Cuffe and Craig Bloxom (v Spy v Spy) and Paul Wheeler (Icehouse).

The band had moderate success in Australia with the song 'Never Should Have Bothered You', however were significantly more successful in Brazil, off the back of the Spy's success, with the track being a smash hit in that country.

Shock Poets released an EP 'Love and Live a Lie' and an album 'Bait', both of which are available digitally through  Laneway Music.​
