Damien Lovelock

Damien Lovelock was one of Australia's most enigmatic performers, best known for his band The Celibate Rifles and their string of hard rock (and at times gentler) albums.

'Damo' also had a couple of solo albums which were released to critical acclaim, the song 'On a Blue Phone at the Green Iguana' a classic in surfing circles particularly.

He was also well known as a TV and Radio presenter through his knowledge and love of football (soccer), and was a regular commentator around the times of huge football events.

Damo passed away of cancer in August 2019.
